This program provides students with a strong foundation in communications, and ethical and legal issues and prepares them to perform as physical therapist assistants in clinical, home, health, sports, school, and hospitality-based medical aid settings, increasing professionalism in the field.
Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to support health and sports professionals alike.
Graduates will:
- Be awarded an Associate of Science Degree intended to provide credentials to practice as a physical therapist assistant, working under the direction and management of a Physical Therapist.
- Become well-rounded in their education, including relevant basic, clinical, and social science coursework to improve their ability to think critically as a member of any healthcare team.
- Engage in personal and professional development through community service and life-long learning opportunities.
